i-Free Announces Speakers at 10th Mobile VAS & Apps Conference and Mobile Trends Forum

St. Petersburg, Russia, 17 October 2013. i-Free, host of the 10th Mobile VAS & Apps Conference, the biggest mobile industry forum in Eastern Europe, today announced the keynote speakers at the event.  

Over 500 mobile industry professionals from across the globe have signed up to attend the 10th Mobile VAS & Apps Conference in St Petersburg, Russia on November 21st and 22nd, 2013. Experts and other eminent professionals in the Russian and international mobile industry will make some 30 presentations and hold six roundtables focusing on the industry’s most pressing agenda. The emphasis will be on topics of current importance in Russia and the rest of the CIS. 

The first conference session, devoted to mobile app marketing in North America, South Korea and Russia, will feature presentations by Ralph Simon, CEO of Mobilium Global and Founder of MEF Americas, and Nathan Millard, International Partnership Director at beSUCCESS, a recognized market expert on South Korea. The session will also include a presentation by Alexey Pronichev, who heads Samsung’s Media Solution Center in Russia. Mr. Pronichev will focus on the mobile distribution opportunities offered by Samsung, the world’s biggest mobile phone manufacturer.

The next session will focus on today’s hottest mobile content – apps and games. Speakers will include: Phil Larsen, Co-founder of Halfbrick, Marianna Kryakvina, Head of Marketing at Creative Mobile, and Dmitry Filatov, CEO of ТopFace.

A separate session will be dedicated to cellular operator strategies in a new market environment. Ekaterina Ogneva, head of Infotainment Services at Beeline, will share her company’s experience of partnering with Google. Valeriy Galushka, Head of Content Provider Relations at MTS, will discuss OTT (Over the Top) technology and the strategic nuances of business in today’s marketplace. Andrey Kushnarev, Content and Media Director at Megalabs, will introduce the opportunities his company offers to developers and explore how app sales can be leveraged via operator showcases.  

Operator strategies and market changes in the wake of recent amendments to the Communications Act will be discussed in more detail at a special roundtable session moderated by Nadezhda Antsiferova, chair of the Mobile Content and Service Providers’ Association.

Alongside the first day’s conference sessions on November 21 will be the Mobile Project Show, where new companies and startups will pitch innovative products to publishers and potential investors.

The highlight of the second day will be the Mobile Trends Forum, devoted to the hottest trends in the mobile industry. The first session, New Mobile Platforms & Interfaces, will feature presentations by Bernd Schulze, Director of Business Development at Qualcomm Europe, Jostein Svendsen, CEO and Co-founder of WeVideo, Robert Bole, Director of Innovation at BBG, and Romuald Zdebskiy, Technology Strategy Lead at Microsoft, who will explore the subject of touch-screen interfaces on mobile devices and game consoles.

The second Mobile Trends session will focus on mobile industry investment. Presenters will include investment executives from Silicon Valley, Japan, and Europe: Mario Tapia, Founder of MobileMonday Silicon Valley and Momentum Accelerator, Joe Jasin, Managing Director at DNA Partners, Kei Shimada, Director of Business Development at Dentsu, Harri Koponen, Senior Advisor at Rovio, and Pavel Bogdanov, General Partner at Almaz Capital.

A special session dedicated to mobile and NFC payment solutions will include presentations by Boris Kim, Chairman of the Board at Qiwi Bank, Kristina Stoyanova, Interface Development Lead at Yandex.Money, Kirill Gorynya, Co-founder of i-Free, and Ergi Sener, Southeastern Europe Business Development Manager at MasterCard. Mr. Sener will introduce a range of NFC products developed by MasterCard for mobile operator Turkcell, which currently leads the world in the use of NFC solutions in cellular applications.

A series of roundtables will further explore  mobile finance solutions. Representatives of Visa, MasterCard, Samsung, Sony, HTC, Qiwi Bank, PayPal, Beeline, MegaFon, TCS Bank, Tavrichesky Bank, and others will discuss mobile payment services and the near-term outlook for this market segment.
