i-Free co-organizes AINL 2014: The Third Artificial Intelligence & Natural Language Conference

May 29th, 2014, St. Petersburg, Russia. – i-Free is once again co-organizing the Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language (AINL) research-to-practice conference, focused on automatic processing of natural language. The conference will be held September 12-13 2014 at the Skolkovo Innovation Center in Moscow, Russia.

Research and projects in artificial intelligence application have long been an area of expertise for i-Free. For this reason, the company is for the third consecutive year partnering with  the unique Russian Artificial Intelligence and Natural Language (AINL) research-to-practice conference.

Each year, more than 200 participants from Russia and other countries come together to discuss the current state of research in AI and natural language; another co-organizer of the conference is NLP Seminar.

The primary goal of AINL is to present the latest developments in computer linguistics, artificial intelligence, and robotics, and to provide a platform for sharing experiences in the creation of human-machine interfaces and intelligent dialog systems and agents. The conference also offers participants opportunities to expand their business networks and research possible cooperation..

This conference is intended for experts in artificial intelligence, developers, researchers, students and post-graduate students at field-specific universities, and representatives of industry workgroups, projects and start-ups. It is also a valuable forum for employees of companies developing AI technologies and applying those technologies to different products and services.

Leading Russian and foreign experts in AI technologies and systems usually speak at AINL. This year, participants will have the opportunity to hear Paolo Rosso, Professor at Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Spain) and anexpert in social media linguistic analysis,  deliver a lecture on composing author profiles in social media.

AINL 2014 will focus on automated text processing technologies; speech technologies, including recognition and synthesis; artificial intelligence and dialog agents; robotics; and the human-computer interface.

The format of the event combines the best aspects of a trade show with a scientific conference. Much of the time will be allocated to  interactive formats, such as poster and demo sessions, where participants will be able to discuss their work with those interested in similar subjects.

Students, post-graduate students, representatives of scientific groups, and researching in artificial intelligence are invited to participate in the poster sessions. Participants in poster sessions may present any relevant scientific or practical project currently under development.

Developers of apps featuring intelligent linguistic technologies that are already in use are invited to take part in a demo session. To register for demo or poster sessions, please go to http://ainlconf.ru/registration.

Ekaterina Ivanova, Head of i-Free Events, noted that "last year, AINL was widely praised by leading foreign experts in AI, and we are sure this year’s event will achieve the same level of success. It is hard to overestimate the importance of the conference, not only for the artificial intelligence community but also for the development of the Russian innovations market in general. AINL is the only event in the country that brings together those who are engaged in scientific research with those undertaking practical development in AI to ensure the successful implementation of these technologies in everyday life. We at i-Free will be doing our utmost to make the conference interesting, informative, and rich in content, to ensure that it contributes to the development of AI in Russia".
